POTSDAM, N.Y. \u2014 Laughter from the nearby barbershop can be heard on the street.<\/p>\n

Inside, amid the haircuts, a group of Donald Trump supporters muse about politics on U.S. election day.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe\u2019s the most qualified,\u201d says McCavy. \u201cHe\u2019s not a politician, he\u2019s a business man. In the U.S., we have money problems. He\u2019s the best man for the job.\u201d<\/p>\n

The sign for Main Street Barber reads \u201cCutting Hair and Telling Stories Since 1942.\u201d McCavy, 46, isn\u2019t here to get a haircut, he\u2019s here to chat. Years ago, he gave the barbershop owners, Paul Austin and his son, Pat Austin, a toilet-bowl brush depicting Hillary Clinton as the \u201cFirst Cleaning Lady.\u201d<\/p>\n

Before stopping by the barbershop, McCavy could be seen Tuesday protesting in front of the Democrat headquarters, draped in a large Trump flag.<\/p>\n

\u201cWouldn\u2019t matter what party they were in, if anyone did what Clinton did with their emails, it was wrong,\u201d says Pat Austin, whose shop has a \u201cStop Hillary\u201d sticker on one of the mirrors.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe sticker is as radical as I get. I leave the flag wearing to Tim,\u201d chuckles Austin.
\nHowever, not all barbershops in Potsdam wear their politics on their mirrors. When asked about politics in Dillon\u2019s, a barbershop down the street from Main Street Barber, the barber gruffly replied: \u201cNo politics in this barbershop.\u201d<\/p>\n

Back at Main Street Barber, McCavy says one of his concerns is how the media depicts opposing views.<\/p>\n

When asked about the upcoming results, he replied, \u201cWhoever wins, the winner is my president. And I respect that.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
