Grayson Trembleau, 4, wants to be an NHL player when he grows up. “My slap shot is my best move! I could get so many goals,” he said, wiping snot from his nose onto a glove that is frosted by the crisp winter air and already flaky from previous wipes.
Grayson practices his hockey skills with his friends almost every day after school until his cheeks are rosy red and he is dripping in sweat.
“My mom tells me that practice makes perfect and I want to be the perfect player,” said Grayson. “But she also told me that I have to be a team player because that’s what being on a team is all about.”
Grayson has two older brothers that play hockey competitively. He one day hopes to play as well as his brothers and maybe to coach his own team. With one smooth motion, he hit a ball of snow between two orange pylons. “I just know that everyone will remember me for that move one day, it’s so awesome,” beamed Grayson.
