The author outside her favourite local shop in Saigon, Vietnam.<\/em><\/p>\n [\/et_pb_text][\/et_pb_column][et_pb_column type=”1_2″][et_pb_text _builder_version=”3.0.106″ background_layout=”light”]<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n Born in the vibrant and eclectic city of St. John\u2019s, Newfoundland, the natural beauty and history of her hometown led Jordan Steinhauer to pursue a career as a storyteller.<\/span><\/p>\n She completed a double major in Communication Studies and English, with a diploma in Performance and Communications Media at Memorial University in Newfoundland. While at Memorial Jordan hosted weekly newscasts that were broadcasted across the province on CHMR FM.<\/span><\/p>\n She has worked with CBC Radio\u2019s St. John\u2019s Morning Show, in Newfoundland, CBC Ottawa’s weekend television show, Our Ottawa, and CTV News Ottawa\u2019s 6 o\u2019clock news hour.<\/span><\/p>\n Jordan has collaborated on a number of short films and documentaries including the St. John\u2019s Women\u2019s Film Festival documentary selection, The View From Here, as well as Watching Karla Homolka, I Am Apollo and It Is Good.<\/span><\/p>\n This summer, Jordan worked abroad as an international Communications Officer at the Saigontourist Hospitality College in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.
