Megan McPhaden is a Master of Journalism candidate at Carleton University and alumnus of Huron University College – Western University and Fanshawe College. Born and raised in Pickering, a small bedroom community outside of Toronto, her interest in journalism was sparked after writing for the Dunbarton High School newspaper in grade 10.
A decade later, journalism has taken her across the globe from covering the Summer Universiade in Gwangju, Korea, interning at CNN’s Washington D.C. bureau on the Situation Room with Wolf Blitzer to volunteering as a videographer with the Tanzanian Tourist Board.
