Throw Out to Cook Out

Canada’s largest food rescue organization cites that over half the food the country produces ends up lost or wasted. We take a look at a day in the life of the People’s Republic of Delicious, or PRD, a student-run group at the University of Ottawa doing their part to save food waste, while serving up hefty side dish of fun.

This is Today’s menu. Peoples Republic of Delicious also includes the number of pounds of food saved each week. They saved 30 pounds on today’s meal.
Students are getting food cooked by the volunteers for People’s Republic of Delicious.
A volunteer is cooking apples and cinnamon for dessert.
