Catherine Duffy is a true prairie girl from Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan. Catherine became a French teacher in the spring of 2020 after completing her Bachelor of Education from the University of Regina.

Although Catherine loves teaching, she has decided to study journalism to explore her passions for writing and filming. Despite not having any formal journalistic experience, she wrote articles for the Beyond the Pandemic blog over the summer of 2020.

In her spare time she enjoys hanging out with her cat, Molly, and filming videos for her YouTube channel. Catherine’s interests include travelling and adding new languages to her repertoire which currently includes English, French, Spanish and German. To date, she has visited Japan, Ireland and Italy. She is excited to travel again in the future when restrictions are lifted.

Working from home has been a delight for Catherine as she has access to an endless supply of Earl Grey tea. However, she looks forward to attending university in person again so she can meet her classmates.
